The Carmelita project began as a dark and chaotic bathroom and bedroom and was transformed into a serene, light-filled retreat designed for both energizing mornings and relaxing evenings. By rethinking the layout, we reclaimed underutilized areas—including a hidden outdoor patio—to create a more appropriate primary bathroom and a true walk-in closet. This thoughtful expansion allowed us to fully embrace the home’s surroundings, framing and maximizing the stunning views of Downtown Los Angeles while delivering a calm, airy space that feels both intentional and restorative.
